MILLA Chocolates

MILLA Chocolates is a Los Angeles-based boutique chocolaterie founded by Christine Sull Sarioz. We believe in pure ingredients, freshly made, with attention to detail and beauty. Where possible, ingredients are locally sourced: from organic seasonal citrus at the farmer’s market to sustainably grown almonds and sea salts. Using only high-end single-origin or organic couverture, each confection presents an unmatched experience.
With her background in fine and decorative art and antiques, Sarioz pays meticulous attention to detail in creating chocolates and confections by hand in small batches. Her love of chocolate is a natural progression of her passions; much like the art that shaped her earlier career, each creation is a feast to the senses – a gem of understated character whose flavor is at once luxurious and refined. Visually, as well as in essence, Sarioz is inspired by architectural elements and simplicity of form. This can be seen most particularly in her bon bons, which are individually hand-painted.
Her husband and Creative Director, Goktug Sarioz, curated the brand to represent its sophisticated artistry: with its elegant black, gold-foiled boxes, minimal, letter-pressed chocolate bar packaging, and ecologically-sound, reusable Weck jars, Milla Chocolates are perfect as gifts for the tastefully conscious consumer.
Following 2016 Gold and Silver awards for her Hazelnut Praliné Bar and Chocolate Covered Caramelized Almonds with Raspberry and Pink Sea Salt, founder Sarioz has been announced as a Five Star Awards Master Chocolatier by the International Chocolate Salon and TasteTV. She most recently won Silver at the 2017 International Chocolate Awards for her Manhattan Bon Bon, Raspberry Bon Bon, Hazelnut Praliné Bar, and Hazelnut Praliné Bar with Turkish Coffee.
